SUBS

Greenbacks youth entertained a Solihull side who were on a high after their 18-0 thrashing of wellington in a cup game last week.

Both sides played entertaining football and the game was end to end but it was Solihull who took the lead when a free kick given just outside the box was fired home past keeper Tobin.  The game still swayed one way then the other with both keepers making fine saves and a midfield battle was beginning to take place and neither side backed out of crunching fair tackles then Mark Wither broke away beating a defender and the keeper to the ball to slot home

Half Time 1-1

The second half was much the same with both defences standing firm and the flair players making the play whilst the midfielders battling it out, Solihiull then broke into the box shot that was saved but could not be held and the Solihull striker poked the ball into the net through a tight gap.

The Greenbacks would not lie down and again came back at Solihull the Greenbacks broke down the right and Troop crossed deep to the far side of the box where Platt hit a low cross back in and mark withers acted the fastest to prod the ball home.

The greenbacks had their tails up now and finished the game slightly the better side and had a few chance to win the game although Solihull were always dangerous and Tobin had to block a one on one

All in all it was probably a fair result and two good teams battling it out to the death result 2-2
