Bedworth lose away to Solihull.

The match started at breakneck pace but Solihull seemed to be getting the better of the battle. After 10 minutes the first corner of the match this was going to be a danger, they had won nearly all the balls in the air so far, it comes in and a good header clears our lines.

Then within minutes a ball over the top Matty Lee and Kevin Tobin in a mix up the ball breaks straight to their forward who side foots it into the empty net 1 - 0. Then on the response a free kick deep in to their box Mathew Lee heads wide.

Another ball over the top of our defence causing us problems but James Thorpe puts it out for a corner. The corner comes in their two centre halves run in from deep a bullet header from 2metres out 2 - 0. Another response from Bedworth, a free kick in to Tom Keating, who shoots on the turn but straight at the keeper.

Danny Wright off injured, Lewis Anderson on, Bedworth now getting more of a foothold in the game, lots of free kicks to us but nothing comes of them.

Half Time 2 - 0

Straight from the off Bedworth seem the better side winning more and more of the ball, a long range shot by Joshua Ruff goes wide. Mathew Lee shot was saved, the lads are really having a good go at them, wave after wave of attacks. We even score a goal but the linesman called offside ??. The whole team seem to be lifted, then Arron Troop off injured Kyle Baxter on. Mark Withers off Sam Bircher on.

Then a rare counter attack their centre forward shoots from just inside the box 3 - 0. Sam Bircher through on goal but saved by the keeper. Late on in the game a corner to them a miss kicked shot goes straight to their forward on the edge of the six yard box 4 - 0 the game then ends result 4 - 0.

Our biggest defeat of the season. On reflection we were not at the races the first half and gave them a 2 - 0 lead with mistakes. The second half I thought we were the better side but could not get a goal, if at 2 - 0 we could have got one back I think we would have got a draw, But the 3rd goal killed us, we have got to get the same attitude from the kick off, not wait till half time.

The second half display was good but I think this Solihull team will win the league they are the best team we have played and in the 2 games have scored 6 goals past us, that’s nearly half of the goals against us so far this season. Hang on in there we are still in the top 4 and when the other top teams play each other who knows what will happen.

Full Time Time 4 - 0
