The greenbacks put in their worst display of the season at the Oval on
Wednesday night , Both side started brightly with the greenbacks gaining
an early corner which Matty Lee headed wide Troop and Platt combined
with a one two but Alex Platt fired over.
Warwick came more into the game going close on a few occasions then a drop kick from the Racing Keeper bounced over our defence who were chasing back and the ball split two defenders our keeper and a Warwick forward who raced onto the ball to slip into an empty net
Warwick were getting stronger and the greenbacks struggled to raise their game chances came to Troop and Platt but both were shot wide
Half time Bedworth United 0 - RC Warwick 1
The second half started brighter but within three minutes Warwick got behind our defence when the ball broke in their favour giving them a one on one with the keeper the forward kept his cool to fire home
The game was over after this as the greenbacks couldn't find their way substitutes were used and this livened up the 10 minutes with Gadsby and Anderton causing problems up front and Baxter lively in midfield but things got worse when a clash of heads saw Alex Gadsby have to come off with a gash under his eye and all subs used we finished the game with ten men
On Reflection Warwick deserved their victory and the greenbacks got a wake up call that who ever you play you still have to work for it
