Bedworth ran out comfortable winners thanks to a hat trick from recent signing Jerome Murdoch and a Gavin Lane own goal, in a game that they dominated from first whistle, manager Liam O`Neill was forced into a late team change after Jamie Lenton was injured during the pre match warm up which saw Richie Allen come in as his replacement.
Marlow started the game defending the baths end, but it was the hosts that made the first impression going close in the opening minutes with Paddy Connolly forcing the blues keeper Keiron Drake to make a fine save, United went ahead in the seventh minute following some good work by Jason Moore whose pass was finished off by Murdock when beating Drake with a low shot.
Bedworth increased their lead after a shot by Matty Lee was deflected past Drake by Gavin Lane.
Marlow were lucky not to have had a player sent off when Murdock looked to been stamped on by Mark Avery inside the goal area but after consulting one of hiss assistants referee Alex Harvey bemused everyone watching by blowing for off side against the greenbacks front man.
Just before the half hour mark a Gary Moran centre was struck against the cross bar by Matty Blair with Drake being well beaten.
Four minutes from the interval a splendid move between Craig Roberts and Jermaine Roche, saw the gangling Alex Stewart rise high, beating the united keeper with a well placed header to reduce the score line.
Half Time 2 - 1
Five minutes into the restart Murdoch netted his second and United's third goal after receiving a long ball from his defence Murdoch raced through and appeared at first to have been miss kicked but thankfully Drake was glued to his line and the ball found its way into the back of the net.
Five minutes later and Murdock put the game well out of Marlow's reach after converting a penalty after Lane had bought down Blair inside the area.
The visitor's best chance of a consolation came four later when Roche blasted high over the greenbacks goal from barely twelve yards out.
Minutes from the final whistle Blair made a fine tackle on blues substitute Alex Cairns who then in turn stamped on the Bed worth player, but to every ones amazement after yet again consulting one of his assistants gave Blair his second yellow card along with his marching orders.
After this home win United begin a three game period away starting at Beaconsfield tonight, followed by the long trek into Suffolk next Saturday where they take on Sudbury.
Full Time 4 - 1
